Dr. Uchenna A. Onyeani, D.C., is a seasoned healthcare professional, educator, and civic leader with more than 20 years of experience in clinical practice, regulatory leadership, and community engagement. 
Dr. Onyeani earned his bachelor’s degree from Rutgers University–Newark and his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from New York Chiropractic College. He is a licensed chiropractor in New Jersey and has built a respected clinical career focused on structural alignment, functional wellness, ergonomics, and holistic patient care. His professional background also includes service as a state-certified EMT and experience in hospital-based emergency care, broadening his perspective on both acute and preventive healthcare delivery.
A recognized leader within his profession, Dr. Onyeani serves as President Emeritus of the New Jersey State Board of Chiropractic Examiners, where he oversees licensure standards, regulatory compliance, and public protection across the state. 
In addition to his regulatory leadership, Dr. Onyeani currently serves as Director of Program and Public Policy for Leadership Newark, where he designs and facilitates high-level civic education programming, leads public policy discussions, and cultivates cross-sector collaboration among business, government, and nonprofit leaders. His work centers on strengthening institutional capacity, expanding civic participation, and advancing thoughtful public dialogue.
Dr. Onyeani is also the founder of Nuanced Wellness 4 Kids, a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving health outcomes for children and adolescents through education, screenings, and integrative wellness initiatives.
