An in-depth look at the importance of inclusivity (the heart of the work) as you are treating patients. We will be calling people in (rather than calling them out) for a conversation about how society continues to marginalize individuals, and how you can mitigate that in your practice.
We will take a look at how bias shows up in your everyday life, and how it shows up in your practice, as well as how we miss the mark on inclusivity despite your best efforts. (Don’t worry it happens to so many of us). This talk will explore how one’s social location shapes whether they feel safe and respected in your space, as well as access to care, who gets overlooked and if that’s even the practitioner’s responsibility.
