Prof. Christoph Schmitz, MD, is Full Professor and Head of a Basic Science Department at Ludwig-Maximilians University of Munich. A leading researcher in radial extracorporeal shock wave therapy (rESWT), he has authored numerous peer-reviewed studies on non-surgical pain solutions and neuromuscular rehabilitation. Formerly Vice President at EMS Medical Systems and a tenured professor in the Netherlands, Dr. Schmitz also serves on the Clinical Sciences & Research Committee of ISPRM.
